Always Behind

The rules which I habitually break are traffic ones. I check the posted speed limits in town and on the highways, but soon find myself edging over the limit.

Another instance of rule-breaking has to do with jay-walking. Rather than crossing in a designated crosswalk, I’m more likely to cross mid-block or when the sign tells me to wait for the signal.

I think my perpetual lateness causes me to ignore these rules.

Seems I’m always behind schedule, and trying to catch up. Not a good excuse at all.
